2023 UCI Cycling World Championships Para Cycling in Dumfries and Galloway.
Dear Dumfries CC,
I hope my email finds you well.
My name is Sophie, and I am from Pennine Events, we are the delivery
partner for the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships Para Cycling in
Dumfries and Galloway.
As I am sure you are aware, the 2023 UCI Cycling World Championships
Para-Cycling will be taking place in Dumfries and Galloway this
August, and we are keen to involve local cycling clubs in the
championships. We have lots of amazing opportunities for the cycling
community of Scotland to showcase itself and get involved in the
event.
It's my understanding that Scottish Cycling are going to be leading on
a wider programme of activation and engagement across Scotland, and
I'm sure they'll be in touch with a lot more detail in due course
about that, however I wanted to get a head start on things and make
you aware of the opportunities we already have available for you to
get involved.
I am sure there is a plethora of cycling knowledge, expertise, and
skills within the membership of your club and if members are keen to
use this in the delivery and support of the event it would be great to
get those people involved.
We have a huge range of volunteer roles available at the Championships
across the start and finish sites, routes and in our sports villages.
If you know of club members who might be keen to be involved, they can
